Jamie is a native of Wisconsin and is married to Sherrie Blackwood. Together, they have five children: Brittny, Joseph, Dakota, Cali, and Harris. Jamie retired from the Fire Service and, in 2024, he and his wife relocated from Maryland to Smithfield, North Carolina.
Jamie has dedicated many years to serving both his community and the sport of hockey. He has served as Vice President and COO, as well as a Board Advisor for the HIAAA, and has been an FCA Hockey Camp Coordinator and Instructor since 2009. From 2007 to 2022, Jamie served as the Head Coach of the Northstars, leading the program to three state championships, six conference titles, and numerous other accomplishments. Prior to that, he coached at the AA youth hockey level and served as an assistant coach for the Shippensburg University ACHA team.
Jamie has also served as an instructor and Camp Coordinator at multiple FCA Hockey Camps. He feels called once again to serve the Lord through the game of hockey—a lifelong dream of his—by investing in young men and women as they grow in both their faith and the sport they love. Through this calling, he hopes to impact the hockey world for Jesus Christ. Jamie is proud to be a part of FCA.
